Fund Raising
The booster club pays for a lot of the activities listed below - ideas for fundraising and financial contributions are greatly appreciated

Help with Sound System
Two or three volunteers are needed to help with amplifying sound during marching band performances at games, contests, and other band events.

Officers
The Officers for the Band Boosters are: President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer

Marching Band/Color Guard Activities

Band Camp picnic: August 10
This is a social event for the students during band camp. Food is provided for band students [Pizza or Hamburgers & Hot dogs] Reserve shelter, order/prepare/serve food and drinks, clean up 4-10 people needed depending on food preparation

Band Extravaganza
End of marching band season celebration Make sure facilities have been reserved Order/prepare/serve food to students and families Coordinate with students and band director as to student skits and band performance in Prasch - 10 volunteers are needed

Building Props and Sewing Color Guard Flags
Volunteers are needed to help build props and sew color guard practice and performance flags. Needs will depend upon creative decisions of band staff. May start planning or working over the summer.

Competition Send Off
Provide Donuts and juice before the buses leave Send water, snacks on bus for later - 3 people are needed

Competition Sponsor
Chaperone on bus, keep counts of students, help with pit crew if needed 3 to 6 people are needed

Front Line Halftime
Sep 6, Sep 20, Oct 10, Oct 19, Oct 25, Oct 26, Playoffs Take instruments on and off field for half time performance 10 to 15 volunteers are needed (for rotation)

Front Line Hauling
Help is needed transporting equipment/instruments to and from performances Having a truck is helpful but not required Home football game days or band competitions Pick up equipment at school to take to performances After performance return equipment to Southeast Times may vary depending on when the performance is scheduled Some instrument stand/other construction may be required this year 4 to 6 people are needed

Hosting Nebraska State Bandmasters Association [NSBA] Contest
Lincoln Southeast will be hosting the smaller school divisions at Seacrest this year. We will need lots of people to help on the day of the competition. Seacrest Field - all day Volunteers will be needed for ticket sales, preparing food, running concessions stands, program sales, parking, logistics of hosting bands [field personnel, coordinating with judges], first aid, and all aspects of hosting a competition

Middle School Night
8th graders have a chance to play with the current band Get addresses from middle schools, invite incoming 8th grade band students Middle school teachers will RSVP with numbers Order/prepare food [hot dogs, buns, condiments, chips, pop, cookies], clean up Food is provided for current and potential band students - need 6 to 10 people

Photo Buttons:
Fund raiser-3" buttons with student's picture for parents and others wear to support the students Take/process photos, handle orders, arrange construction of buttons, sort for delivery This is done during uniform fitting and checkout - 3 or 4 people needed

Plume Keeper
Ensures that the boxes of hat plumes are on the marching field or on the buses for marching competitions. Drum majors usually hand them out but if they are busy, make sure that someone is available for handing out and receiving back of the hat plumes.

Practice Field Painting
Six volunteers are needed to help paint yard lines on the practice field at times during band camp and marching band season.

Uniform Assignment and checkout:
Measuring students, assigning uniforms, checking fit, coordinating alterations… This is done during band camp before school starts. Most activities are usually outside of scheduled rehearsal hours Schedule is dependent on committee chair and volunteers - 10 people needed

Videographers and Photographers
Videographers and photographers are needed to help us capture the moments! Tasks include photographing and/or helping with CD and video production At least 4 to 6 volunteers are needed.

Water for students at football games
Marching in those uniforms in the heat is hard work! Help is needed to transport water to and from games - 2 to 6 people (for rotation)

Concert Volunteer Opportunities

Awards Banquet - May
Reserve location, arrange/order/prepare food and drinks, clean up 8 to 10 people are needed

Concert and Jazz Band receptions
Symphonic/Wind Ensemble, Jazz, Orchestra
Set up tables, napkins, cups.
Purchase/make punch, ice water in large containers
Students bring cookies, arrange them on the large trays provided

Middle School Basketball Band Night
Order, prepare, and serve food to current students and 8th graders who are playing with the band during a basketball game. 4 to 6 people are needed.
